Reviewing the Moments that Matter

Great overall experience! We got lucky to have booked the last room at the last minute. It is in a very good location right on the main touristic shopping area on Ocean Ave. It is more on the east side of the touristic area and about a 15 minute walk to the beach but still in a great location. The rooms were very clean and modern. The area is very quiet at night with very minimal noise- just the shower from the neighbor, but nothing too bad. The general manager was great- very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included. Even though there wasn't a lot of variety compared to other places I've stayed at, it still had the basics- eggs, sausage, waffle maker, coffee/tea machine, oatmeal, yogurt, apples, bananas, bagels, bread, cream cheese, and water. We did get lucky with parking. The hotel itself has a small parking lot but we did find a parking spot on the street; it actually looked like it was the hotel's parking. We chose this hotel at the last minute on a whim and it turned out to be a great choice. Will definitely book here again.

Absolutely fabulous experience at this hotel. I booked it last minute for a one night getaway. The room was modern and clean. It had all the amenities I needed, including fridge, coffee, and a working AC. I forgot a few things and the front desk was so helpful in providing me the things that I needed! There is a small free breakfast available in the morning located in the lobby area. The check in/out process was smooth and easy. I would definitely return.

Excellent location. We visited with warmer than usual weather and still stayed cool since the windows and dutch door could be opened. Breakfast is a standard hotel spread, and parking is limited but wasn’t an issue. We would recommend a room on the second floor. We could hear every move of our very noisy upstairs neighbor which woke us very early. Perhaps bring some earplugs if you’re a light sleeper.

Nice lodging option in the heart of Carmel-by-the-Sea! Nothing noteworthy to report about the overall experience - negative or positive. Comfortable with limited frills. Clean and well-maintained common areas and rooms. Expectations were matched as advertised online. Hard to beat the location, walkable to practically everything in town and all the way to the coastline! Unfortunately this spot is not pet friendly, which such an option would likely justify an additional star in my view. And availability of breakfast starting at 8:00AM is a bit late for my liking. All-in-all, I will not hesitate to book again the next time I travel to Carmel-by-the-Sea!
